Moved

Started (resumed?) blogging here after the collapse of my Movable Type blogging engine at 5jt.com. For the last year the Perl scripts were regularly failing to complete even posting a single entry after about noon GMT. Updating the software version failed because running on my Windows 2003 server requires an IIS hack my IPS declines to do. And the server kills the database export before it can export my 4-year history. So no backup.

Unwilling to take on managing a dedicated server and, exasperated by the cumbersome Joomla! markup I’ve been studying, I contemplated rolling my own blogging software. I might yet do that, using some of the new tools available or coming in Dyalog APL. Meantime, I’m writing again and it’s time to review what’s possible with ubiquitous Blogger.com.
