Two kinds of London cycling campaign

The recent proposal to rename the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) to ‘London Cyclists’ has been most helpful. There are two quite different kinds of cycling campaign possible.

‘London Cyclists’ would be a good name under which to campaign on behalf of London cyclists. That would be the 11,000 LCC members, plus tens of thousands of other cyclists. There are many things we want, and London would be a better place to ride a bike if we had them.

But we are vastly outnumbered by the number of people who would like to ride their bikes in London if it were not so insanely dangerous.
